Trade-In Terms

Not a Straight-Swap Service
MrLaptop Warehouse's Trade In & Upgrade service is not a straight swap, direct exchange or like-for-like trade. Your approved trade-in value can only be used as partial credit towards purchasing a higher-value replacement device from MrLaptop Warehouse, and you must always pay a remaining balance. No cash is offered for traded-in devices, and no unused trade-in value is refunded or carried forward to a future purchase.
Provisional and Final Valuations
Any valuation given online or before your device is physically received is provisional only. The final trade-in value is confirmed after physical inspection at our Walsall store or on receipt of a posted device. Undisclosed faults, damage, missing parts, incorrect specifications, account locks or other issues found on inspection may change the valuation from the provisional figure originally given.
Ownership and Eligibility
You must own the device you are trading in, or have the authority of the owner to trade it in. We do not accept devices that are stolen, subject to an active finance agreement, protected by an activation lock, BIOS password or an account that cannot be signed out, or otherwise not authorised for trade-in.
Your Responsibilities Before Handover
You are responsible for backing up your data and removing your accounts, passwords and any device management before handing your device to us. See our Trade In & Upgrade page for full guidance.
Rejecting an Offer
You may decline a provisional or final offer at any point before the trade-in is completed, with no obligation to proceed.
Postal and Collection Arrangements
You are responsible for packaging and sending your device to us. Pack it securely - ideally in its original box, or with plenty of bubble wrap or other protective material - and use a tracked and insured delivery service. Until the parcel reaches us it remains your carrier's responsibility, so please don't skip the tracking. Send your device to: MrLaptop Warehouse, Unit 19 Fairground Way, Walsall, WS1 4NU, United Kingdom Please put a note inside the parcel with your name, phone number, email address and your trade-in reference number, so we can match your device to your valuation.
You can also bring your device to our shop at Unit 19 Fairground Way, Walsall, WS1 4NU. Please call 01922 627161 or message us on WhatsApp at +44 7423 673548 before you travel, so we can confirm a member of the team is available to look at it.
If you decline our final offer after we have inspected your device, we will return it to you. Return postage is charged to you, and we will confirm the exact cost with you before we send anything back - nothing is returned or charged without your agreement.
Offer Expiry
Provisional offers remain valid for 14 days and final offers remain valid for 7 days from the date they are sent, unless stated otherwise on the offer itself. An expired offer must be requested again.
When Ownership Transfers

Choosing a replacement product during your trade-in request does not reserve it. Availability is only confirmed at the point a reservation is made under our standard reservation terms. If your chosen replacement is no longer available, we will ask you to choose another product priced higher than your approved trade-in credit before completing the transaction.
How We Use Your Information
Personal details and photographs you submit are used only to provide your trade-in valuation and are handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
